Frequently Asked Questions
During my presentations to students, teachers and adults, I received many interesting questions. People try to imagine the differences between US and China, they want to know what China looks like. They are so excited to go and see. I am listing some of the frequently asked questions.
1. I really want to go, but how does the company cope with us financially?
We considered such concerns when we worked out our promotion plan. Participants can refer this program to their friends to earn their credit. If one has less than 10 referrals, $100 for each successful referral will be credit against his tour cost; if a student has 10 or more successful referrals, his cost can be completely covered. Also participant (For students) can seek for help from businesses, and the forms are ready to be downloaded by click on Forms link. Since there is still one year before the trip, a student can finance his tour through working in summer.
2. Why should I send my kid through Culture Impressions International to China?
With more places to go and more aspects of Chinese society to expose to participants, the company has partnered with international tour insurance provider to have a comprehensive international tour insurance package. CIIL will post photos and brief news each day during the time they are in China. Participants' families will see their photos through our website.
3. How do I apply?
In year 2010, CIIL will send its pioneer group to China. We rely on people like you, parents, students, and teachers to spread the words. After we received communications from students who are interested in the program, we will send out letters to invite students to a meeting. We will distribute application forms during the meeting, and also go through the tour details, etc. After you receive the application form, you can start the process.
4. What does the cost include?
The cost will include round flight ticket from Omaha to a gateway city that has flight to Beijing, china, and from China back to Omaha. Unlike other companies, we do not have zone charges, and any other charges. The cost also includes 3 meals a day and accommodation while in China, all tickets needed to access culture sites, train, coach fares, and students' international travel insurance.
5. How do I know my children are safe in China ? China is one of the safest countries for US students to travel. CIIL will also appoint a manager who is good at speaking both English and Chinese to lead a group, and coordinate participants' needs. The bilingual tour guide from our partner in China will also make sure everything goes well during the tour. CIIL will update its website every day with photos in different places so that families in US can see what's going on through our website.
